A simple closed-volume technique similar to the Bridgman method was used to obtain V2O5 micro- and nanocrystalline structures. The morphological features of the produced crystalline structures were investigated by scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction. Some of the observed V2O5 structures are briefly described taking into account physicochemical conditions of the preparation.

SEM-images of typical V2O5 crystalline structures: lamellar microcrystals (a); terraced surface and elongated, rod-shaped structures (b, c); needle-like and elongated structures (d); rods and stairs-like structures (e, f).
